The Music Kafe crew knows better than any that music is indeed the glue of the world! So suffice to say that’s one of the reasons we offer it seven days a week with no bells and whistles and no cover charge. It's also one of the reasons why hundreds of top acts continue to rock our stage and why our growing list of performers and fans have transformed into a slightly oversized family.
You see over the last year we have thrown our heart and soul into supporting live and local music, whether it be blues, rock, ska or even Celtic punk!! And in the process we have not only discovered just how deep the pool of talent in Brisbane and the wider region is. But how passionate the fans are when it comes to supporting it.
On our little to mission to dig up the raw, the experienced and just the completely left of centre we’ve stumbled across true music gurus who draw crowds on a weekly basis. And we've also found acts who hit the stage for the first time on an Open Mic Wednesday only to leave the crowd breathless.
Yep it sure is a tough gig – but then someone’s got to do it… And we figured since it was us (and not to, you know, strum our own guitars or anything) we would do it properly.
So to make our musical journey even more magical we offer great food specials, a fully licensed bar, pool tables, a coffee machine that produces some pretty rockin coffee and of course plenty of room to sit and dance!
Sure we've probably got a bit ahead of ourselves here! But to ride this crazy horse just a tad further we decided to also cater for your events. We still host several of our own - such as October Fest, West End Festival, Pink Ribbon Breakfast, Melbourne Cup Day, Mondyitis, Humpday.... you get the gist. But we're also up for grabs if you want to host your own Christmas party, 21st or just pig out day with friends.
